Yes the same shop has attempted to repair it three times. I am so disgusted I am just going to run it, I will take it back in another 10,000 miles, thats about all it lasts!

My neighbor thinks my tractor is a toy, but he farms 1000 acres. You only live once and if you Like the Tc29D as much as I and many othe posters you will have a ball!

I would check on the New Holland prices they are usually cheaper then the Case, why throw money away on just the color?

Not sure about the round bale question, but due yourself a favor and have the New Holland quoted. They usually come up about 1500-2000 cheaper then the Case. the DX is a direct copy of the Boomer only difference is the paint.

I wasnt sure of your wher you are quoting , in your case you are lucky plenty of dealers close by. Last year ther where quite a few discussions about not buying local and the type of service you get if you didnt buy from that dealer. Anyhow you probably won't need it I have had mine for a year 150 + hours and no problems! Good luck in your search.

How about Main & Pickney in Auburn,NY. They will give you the same or better machine in blue for less money!

Go with the Boomers, there is to much electric crap on those new Deeres! They are trying to make them so us poor old boys can't work on them! Following along with the trend of new cars. Good Luck Jim!

I have heard nothing but good things about the SS option but if you dont need it why spend the extra cash. I wonder about long term use with the extra components wether the repair bills will be large down the road. As far as mowing I use a 5ft. bush hog on my TC29D and have had no problem, last year I mowed down 6 ft. tall grass, couldnt even see the tractor!

Good choice, I purchased my TC29D a year ago and it has done nothing but run(155 hrs. later). I just got off to much sun (leveling ground for a barn addition). Good luck with the new machine, Oh ya where are you located I will come get that 1500 off your hands.

The 1050 is quite larger then the 950 henceforth more weight. I liked the look of the 1050 but what I found used didnt justify buying compared to new. Good luck in your search.

It sounds like you made the same choice I did after 4 months of research! I went with the TC29D after looking at all makes and models, I felt the NH was the best bang for the buck. The green and orange machines where from 1500 to 3500 more. What I thought was really strange was The Case DX models where about the same as a Deere only difference was red instead of blue! I have had my tractor for a year and 150 hrs. and not one problem. Good luck with your new machine.

Ray, Seems that all the compacts have a motor from Japan and who knows what other parts from where? They are only assembled in the US. In my opinion that does not qualify as made in the good old USA! I myself would be leary of any grey market tractors but the name brands with a good dealer network should not be that big of a problem.

Prices here in Western NY arent to shabby. I bought my place 2 yrs. ago for 120K. Thats 20 acres 30x40 barn 1700 sq. ft house (5yrs. old), pool and hot tub. Taxes are about 2200 per year. Major city(syracuse) 40 minutes away. Good deals are out there just takes awile to find.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but ther is no reason to act like a jerk if you dont agree with it. I think we are all adults here(???) and we should try and act like adults (may be tough for some). As far as the original quote, it is human nature to try and ge the best possible deal, the bottom line is in the end if you are not happy don't buy it. As far as green,blue,red or orange go they all make a fine product and if you are happy with what you bought thats all that matters. Deere wouldn't survive this long on name alone. I bought blue I did my homework and in my opinion I liked the New Holland the best( 1yr. old 150 hrs. on it no problems). Anyway good luck in whatever your decision is.

Not only do they cost more green in the initial purchase, but they cost more green $ to keep running. If I where you I would get rid of that lemon! Have to agree with you larry, bought my first chrysler product two years ago and what a piece of junk! Should have stuck with ford or GM.

Well I got the 2 bottom plow but it didnt work to well. I think it might have worked better with ag. tires the r-4s seemed to load up with mud and I lost all traction. Maybe if I remove one plow and use it as a 1 bottom it will work better.

Go talk to main and Pickney over in Auburn they will give you a much better price then Case. The only difference is blue instead of red. Actuaaly after New Holland bought out Case they added their compact line to the case products. I searched for 4 months last year and found Greg over at Main and Pickney gave me a much better price. I bought a TC29d with the loader and bushhog for 17,600.
